Her experience includes inpatient care for youth experiencing SPMI and acute mental and behavioral health challenges, adult and youth crisis work and wraparound services, early detection and treatment for young adults experiencing onsetting psychosis, and outpatient community mental health services for youth/families in the community and schools.

She has a systems knowledge base and is dedicated to advocacy, empowerment, and fostering change. At heart, Summer is a strengths-based therapist with a strong tie to providing collaborative and feedback informed support that stimulates mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. She values evidence-based practices and practice-based evidence. Her heart is in crisis, trauma, and narrative work, and loves to incorporate art, play, cognitive behavior techniques, collaborative problem solving, solution-focused therapy, and person-centered approaches. Relationships are at the heart of everything, so beyond any approaches and modalities, she puts the relationship and connection first while working with people.

Summer is a Southern Oregon resident who loves family adventures in the outdoors. While not engaging in community work, she enjoys working outside, gardening, camping, hiking, rafting, going to the coast, and traveling with her wonderful husband and two little ones.
